Academic Update for Instructors - 1/17/22

January 17, 2022

You may have noticed that the mask mandate recently issued by the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department includes an exception for a person giving a speech, lecture, or broadcast to an audience as long as six feet of distance from other individuals is maintained.

However, because of the unique aspects of the UNL community, including density within classrooms, dorms and other common areas, LLCHD has requested that face coverings be used on campus wherever possible, including by instructors/speakers.

The university recognizes that there are spaces where significant social distancing can be safely maintained, and an instructor/speaker may choose to not wear a face covering in such situations.

As always, check Information for Instructors/Researchers, @UNLacademics, and for future updates.
